I'm almost done with HP. Damn! I tried to take my time but I apparently just went through it too quickly. I'm getting my thoughts together for the book club discussion.

I went to the Barnes and Noble Potter Party for the first time Friday night. I saw librainiac and Jennifer there. The chickadees and HB joined me for about an hour and then went home. Smallest chick was much too sleepy to try and make it to midnight. And, both of them had gone to Incredible Pizza with the daycare and spent five hours playing, so they were really tired. I ended up staying up until two that morning reading. I had only meant to read the first chapter and go to bed, but I ended up reading the first three chapters. I spent all day Saturday reading, but I had to take a nap because the my eyes kept closing. I started reading the first book to the chickadees. So far, they seem to enjoy it.

Today sucks as I'm tired and I'm not feeling well and I'm hungry. This would have been a great day to stay home. Since I'm here, I'll just make the best of it and maybe time will cooperate and move itself along.

HB finally settled with our insurance company and bought his new truck on Thursday. It's much better than the old one since the new truck is a dual cab. Now, we can all ride in it and go to the farm whenever we want. It's nice having the capability to leave town for a weekend and escape.
